What is EDGE?

EDGE is a user conference for ObservePoint. It is a 2 day conference in Provo, Utah, where ObservePoint users can learn and network together. This conference includes content for beginners, intermediate, and advanced users, as well as advice from industry experts and award-winning speakers.

What are the dates of EDGE?

Monday, September 25 through Wednesday, September 27. Most attendees will want to be in Provo, UT by 6:00 PM on Monday, September 25. Those attending the CAB or Beginner sessions will want to arrive earlier on Monday. 

How much does EDGE cost?

EDGE is $399 through May 31, 2023. After that, prices go up to $499 per person. Registration passes are buy 2, get 1 free.

Who is EDGE for?

• Those who have a stake in the website at your company (marketing, legal, analysts, compliance officers)
• Those who are new to ObservePoint and want hands-on training
• Those who are familiar with ObservePoint and want to learn how other companies solve their unique problems within our platform
• Those interested in Privacy Compliance and the rapidly changing environment around data privacy

Where will EDGE be held?

The majority of EDGE conference content will be held at a privately owned space called “The Garage” in Provo, Utah. The Garage is a one of a kind event space near the mouth of Provo Canyon and just 20 minutes from the world-famous Sundance Resort.  

Welcome receptions and activities will take place in the Provo Area, including in the nearby Wasatch Mountains. 

We highly recommend all EDGE attendees to stay at the Provo Marriott so you can take advantage of the complimentary shuttle services to and from all conference activities.

How many people from my company should come to EDGE?

The content at EDGE is designed to be applicable to all levels of expertise on ObservePoint. We recommend any ObservePoint users from your organization to attend EDGE, as well as anyone interested in Privacy Compliance and how ObservePoint can best suit your company to mitigate risk.

What is the attire for EDGE and the associated receptions/parties?

Attire for EDGE is business casual, but come in whatever makes you feel comfortable! No formal attire is needed for receptions or parties. All necessary gear will be provided for the outdoor activities, but if you want to bring your own that is fine too.

If you are doing the hike, wear footwear that is suitable for a 1.5 – 2 hour, low intensity hike. Bring sunblock and bug spray if you’d like.
The weather in Utah is unpredictable in the fall months. We highly recommend wearing layers and bringing a jacket so you can be ready for rain, sunshine, wind, or even snow on any given day.

What else is there to do in Provo, UT?

Provo is a gorgeous, small town with easy access to some of the most beautiful mountains in the US. You can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, zip-lining, fishing, and rock climbing within 15 minutes of your hotel. Check out Bridal Veil Falls, Stewart Falls, float the Provo River, and grab a kolache. Travel & Lodging

Do I need to rent a car?

If you stay at the Provo Marriott, you will not need a car.

For transportation, we recommend taking a rideshare from the Salt Lake City airport to Provo, and all other transportation will be provided. Outside conference hours, Provo is a small and relatively walkable town. Rideshares are also available if you want to venture farther away from the hotel.

Where should I book my hotel room?

We highly recommend booking your hotel at the Provo Marriott.

Why should I stay at the Provo Marriott?

Provo Marriott will be our home-base for most conference activities. Free transportation will be provided to and from the conference, reception locations are being selected nearby, and most conference attendees will be staying there.

Speakers

Can I be a speaker?

Speakers are not defined yet, but topics are. If you are interested in speaking at EDGE, please reach out to your CSM or Account Executive, and let them know what you want to speak about. If this is in alignment with the topics to be covered at EDGE, let’s talk!

Who is speaking at EDGE?

We are eager to finalize EDGE speakers by mid-July, 2023.

Activities

Can I change my activity after I have registered?

You can swap your activity, pending availability. However, any changes would need to be made at least 48 hours in advance. To change your activity, please reach out to your OP rep or email Becca at edge@observepoint.com.

Do I need to know how to do the activity I’ve chosen before I get there?

Absolutely not! We are excited to learn and try new things with you. All activities have guides and modifications for beginners. If you’d have questions about the intensity of any activities, reach out ot us at EDGE@observepoint.com, we’d love to help you feel comfortable with whatever activity you choose.

Do I need to bring any attire or equipment for my activity that isn’t being provided?

All equipment or gear for activities will be provided. We recommend you wear attire that is suitable for your activity, and keep in mind that Utah in the Fall has unpredictable weather. You may want to bring layers of clothing, a rain jacket, sun protection, comfortable shoes & clothing, and anything else that makes you feel comfortable outdoors.

What if I don’t want to do an outdoor activity?

No problem! There is a lot to do and see in Provo and we will see you at the reception when the activities are over!

Everything Else

Can I meet my AE or CSM while I’m at EDGE?

Yes! We love seeing our customers face to face! Reach out to your CSM or AE and they will make sure to meet you at the conference. 

Can I get some one on one, hands-on help with ObservePoint while I’m at EDGE?

Can I change my jacket size after I have registered?

To change your jacket size, please reach out to Becca Tew at edge@observepoint.com. We’ll accommodate any changes based on our inventory.

Can I transfer my EDGE registration to a different person?

EDGE registration is transferable upon request. Please reach out to Becca Tew at edge@observepoint.com to transfer your registration.
